HOW DOES VASER LIPO WORK?

There are two anaesthetic methods for the surgery, it can be done with local anaesthetic (only required in rare cases when several body parts are treated at once) or as a “twilight surgery”, which is a superficial sleep state, that is far safer and faster to recover from. The whole procedure can usually be performed between 1 to 3 hours depending on the size of the area being treated and the amount of fat needed to be removed.

This next-generation device gently delivers ultrasonic vibrations to the treatment area which liquifies only the fat tissues which is then removed by a small cannula or is excreted naturally from the body. By removing only the fat, while leaving all other tissues such as blood vessels and connecting tissues intact, your skin retains it’s smoot and even appearance after the surgery. This minimises discomfort and bruising and allows for much faster healing and recovery

WHAT SHOULD YOU EXPECT AFTER YOUR VASER LIPOSUCTION?

You will be able to return home within a few hours following the procedure. Initial numbness, some minor bruising and general tenderness may occur, but these side effects should disappear within a week. You may be required to wear a special compression garment for a few days. 

As part of Dr. Joffily’s commitment to excellent patient after-care, a series of check-ups are scheduled to ensure rapid and effective recovery. Results can often be seen immediately, the final results will become visible after a few weeks but usually within a month. 

As with most cosmetic procedures, it is recommended that you wait a couple of weeks before you do any rigorous physical activity. To help speed-up recovery, it is recommended that you do a course of MLD Massage therapy and follow a healthy diet.
